Yesterday I had a couple of four-legged houseguests for a few hours! Our friends Jenn and Stephen were having an open house for their condo and needed a place to stow their kitties for a few hours. Chris is pretty allergic, so we tucked them in the bathroom for their stay. I opened the door so I could peek in and see how they were doing:

And then I just ended up going in and sitting with them for a while. Of course I had to bring my camera for a quick portrait session. Here’s Boney:

And here’s Max:

Aren’t they both so handsome?!

Project 10/List 1 Wrap-Up
Tonight I diligently finished my Project 10/List 1 “10 Objects Found at Home” with Image 9, a needlepoint that my mom made for me when I was little (although I think my sister might try to say it was made for her):

And Image 10, where I admittedly got a little desperate trying to find something interesting around the house:

Chris can’t even figure out what that one is, and he lives here, so I won’t make you try to guess. It’s the five-bulb light fixture on the ceiling in our hallway.Stay tuned for the next Project 10 List. In honor of my spring fever, the subject of my next list is “Green.” And please feel free to make a suggestion for an upcoming list!

48 Favorite Colors
My scrapbooking friends will know what this Project 10/List 1 – Image 8 is, specifically Jenn, who bought these for me:

It’s my set of Zig Twin-Tip Writer pens. There isn’t a color I could possibly want to write with that isn’t in here. I haven’t done much scrapbooking lately, but I do use these pens. Love them! -
What Is It? Part 2
Project 10/List 1 – Image 6 is another guess-what-this-is picture:

Highlight the text here for the answer: it’s our Nintendo Wii. For some reason when we don’t play it for a while, it lights up with that bright blue and sort of flashes a bit as if to say, “Hello?! Play me!”

Random Stuff
1. Chris wasn’t feeling well this past weekend, so we still haven’t had a chance to go geocaching. Maybe next weekend? I really really want to try it! We might just have to wait until the weather is warmer anyway.
2. We did stay in and watch a great movie though called The Ultimate Gift. I love movies that put life into perspective, and Abigail Breslin is just so darn cute.
3. I went to my first Pictage User Group (PUG) meeting last night in Bethesda. I met a wonderful group of photographers including a few people that I had already spoken to via email and on the Pictage forum. Justin and Mary Marantz were guest speakers, and they gave an amazing, inspiring presentation. It felt almost like a mini workshop, except that it was free! Can’t beat that.
4. Kate Nash tickets were supposed to go on sale yesterday morning for the 9:30 Club, but they’re not on sale yet and I’m so bummed.
