    Addie Is 1!

    So yes, I know I recently made an announcement that I’m no longer taking wedding and portrait clients (for now?), but it’s not every day that Coelle’s baby girl, Addie, turns one! And anyway, Coelle isn’t a client so this is different. 🙂 Addie actually had her birthday last weekend while I was in Colorado, so I spent some time today taking a few portraits of the happiest baby in the world. Seriously, the girl only stopped smiling for maybe two minutes the whole time I was there!

  • Ready, set…bake!

    Last weekend I photographed a really fun and special session for a friend – she and her husband just remodeled their kitchen and it made the most beautiful background for some photos of the girls baking together! They were preparing for a fancy tea party/birthday party the following day, so we baked chocolate chip cookies and decorated cupcakes for the occasion.     Here’s something a little different on the blog today! I don’t usually do newborn photography since I prefer to leave it up to those who specialize in it (seriously, I know next to nothing about newborn babies!), but I couldn’t resist photographing my friend Coelle’s sweet new baby, Adelyne. She is absolutely precious and she loved the camera! Addie refused to nap, but not in a fussy way at all – I think she didn’t just want to miss out on any photo ops. A few times she couldn’t help dozing off for a minute or two, but most of the time she was wide-eyed and posing for me. Coelle and her hubby, Corey, are going to be the most wonderful parents, and I’m so incredibly happy for them!

    I don’t do a ton of maternity photos, but when I found out my very dear friend, Coelle, was pregnant, I knew I wanted to photograph her with a cute baby bump! Coelle and Corey are going to make such amazing parents, and that baby is going to be super smart, talented, and beautiful.     Last year was my fourth time photographing this amazing family! I know how growing up works, but every time I see them I can’t believe how big the kids are getting. They have been one of my favorite families to photograph!
