  • The New Site!

So, I think a lot of you know by now that the new www.susansolo.com site went live! I’m really excited about all of the feedback I’m getting – thank you so much for all of your amazing compliments!

I’m bummed that a handful of people are seeing the top of the site chopped off. I have a trouble ticket in to my host to see if they can help me fix the configuration, but I’m not exactly sure what causes the problem. If you are seeing the top cut off (like in the middle of the logo), let me know – it’ll be a huge help if I know what browser you’re using (Internet Explorer 6 or 7, Firefox, Opera, etc.) and if you really want to be helpful, the screen resolution. This information can be found by right-clicking on your desktop and going to Properties > Settings for you PC users. I’m not sure about Macs.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Happy New Year! (& Anika)

Happy 2008 everyone! The year ahead is just full of excitement, I can feel it!

I’m ringing in the new year by doing a few new things. One of my resolutions is to cook more, so last night I made fish, which I never do because I just don’t like fish at all. I made a baked tilapia though with just a few spices, and it was totally edible! I won’t seek it out on an everyday basis (maybe just once a month or so?), but it’s nice to know that I can prepare good-for-you fish in a way that is palatable. I’m also going to prepare things on the weekend that Chris and I can heat up and eat for dinner in the evenings (healthy casseroles, slow cooker meals, etc.). We have been eating out way too much, so hopefully having things on hand ready to go each weeknight will make it more convenient.

On another note, I think my blog is going to have a new look and feel very soon. So stay tuned for that.

That’s all for now! I’ll leave you with some photos I took of Anika last week:

  • Holiday Wrap-Up

Happy New Year’s Eve! Hope you all had a great holiday with your loved ones. I had a great Christmas with LOTS of loved ones! Chris and I spent the weekend before Christmas in Wintergreen with his brother, sister, sister’s boyfriend, Mark, his dad, Margie, Margie’s daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Tony, and Margie’s son, Chris. Then we spent Christmas Eve Day in Charlottesville with his mom, stepdad, aunt and uncle, grandmother and brother/sister/Mark again. THEN on Christmas we spent the day with my mom, dad, grandmother and my g-ma’s friend, Gloria.

    Whew!

It was a fun whirlwind holiday, but I’m glad to have low-key plans for tonight and tomorrow to just relax. Other than visiting with family, I’ve been working hard to finish up the new susansolo.com. I should be done in a day or two and will let you know when it has officially gone live. Stay tuned!

  • Last Class

Well, last night was my last exam in my last photography class! Assuming I passed (I’m fairly sure I did okay), I am going to graduate with a Professional Photography Certification! I don’t have a speech prepared or anything, I just wanted to mention that I’m finally done with school. And to celebrate, I’ll (hopefully) launch the new susansolo.com in a few days. Yay!

  • Oops

Well, I sort of messed up my blog as you can see. I had the banner and a few random images hosted with Yahoo, and since I am going through the process of changing web hosting companies, the files are sort of lost in cyberspace right now. My photography website is gone now, too. Hopefully I’ll get things sorted out in a few days.
