I can’t wait to write more about our trip to Thailand (and Cambodia!), but just haven’t carved the time out to do so yet. In the meantime, here’s one of my favorite images of the trip. The Yee Peng (or Yi Peng) Festival is the reason we scheduled our travels in November, and it did not disappoint! More soon.

Photo Friday – Happy Fall
Chris and I spent last weekend soaking up as much time out of the house as we could, enjoying the spectacular display of fall colors that Virginia puts on every year. I snapped this photo with my Mavic Pro after finding this spot on a drive out west.

Photo Friday – Hello
Chris and I recently returned from an incredibly relaxing trip to Roatán, Honduras and while I’m still sorting through the photos and video clips, I thought I’d post this little gem. I had this image idea in my head ever since I saw a photo of the beach outside our rental villa. I purchased a donut floatie to bring with us, and one morning we arranged the shot and I sent the drone overhead to capture our message to the world. Lots more photos and stories from our time in Honduras coming soon!

Photo Friday – First Snow
A few weeks ago we had our first snow of the winter season, and I immediately knew I had to fly the drone and see what my neck of the woods (literally) looked like from the sky. Peaceful.

Photo Friday – Hibiscus
Ack! I am wildly behind on my blogging to-do list, including a couple of additional Maldives posts, but I’m otherwise wrapped up in another project at the moment – me! I’ve been spending my free time at the gym, trying to get into better shape for an upcoming trip that will involve a bit of high-altitude hiking (more on that soon!), and by the time I get done I’m usually too exhausted to think, type, or even sit upright, all of which are required to blog. So I hope you’ll forgive me for the lack of updates here! I promise to have a what-I-packed-for-the-Maldives post up soon, as well as a recap of our quick visit to Dubai!
In the meantime, here is a hibiscus, as spotted on the island in the Maldives.
