  • Photo Friday – Komandoo

I can hardly wait to post more about this trip, but the jet lag and my to-do list are keeping me from writing just yet. In the meantime, here is a preview of what the next few posts will be about!

  • Photo Friday – Unfocus

I meant to catch up on a few more London blog posts this week, but alas the week leading up to Christmas is always a busy one and I just didn’t get everything done. It will have to wait until next week or beyond perhaps.

The holidays add so many items to our to-do lists, don’t they? I’d like to suggest adding one more important item to your list: Relax. Or unwind. Or breathe deeply. Or whatever action item brings to mind a moment of peace for yourself. You deserve it! Take a moment or two (or more!) to ignore focusing on that to-do list and in fact, unfocus for a bit. It will help, trust me. Happy holidays to all!

  • Photo Friday – Cookie Class

In the spirit of the holiday season, I have a very festive photo to share with you! A friend and I took a cookie decorating class together last week where I learned how to frost sugar cookies with royal icing using the outline and flood method. We had a great time! I love learning new crafty things, especially ones that I can eat after I’m done.

  • Photo Friday – Covent Garden Market

If there’s one place I could have stayed all day in London, it was the Covent Garden Market. Chris and I perused the market briefly one rainy Saturday afternoon (rain + weekend = everyone at the market), and because of our lack of patience with crowds, we just didn’t get to explore as much as I’d have liked. I would have loved to poke my camera into every little nook, and if we could have found an empty seat I definitely would have enjoyed the people-watching opportunities. Next time, I say!

  • Photo Friday – Cinnamon Tree Bakery

How gorgeous are these jam-filled shortbread cookies from Cinnamon Tree Bakery at the Borough Market in London? I can personally attest that they were not only beautiful, they were absolutely delicious. I’m crazy about chocolate sweets, but every time I step foot in the U.K. my shortbread craving shows up, and these hit the spot.
