    Moving Pictures: Scotland 2018

In addition to all of the photos from Speyside and Glasgow, I also put together a short little video of our trip. It was my second time filming video footage with the DJI Mavic Pro! (Other clips are from the GoPro and my point-and-shoot.) Hope you like it!

Speaking of flying a drone in Honduras, I also took some video with the DJI Mavic Pro! (And also the GoPro and my point-and-shoot.) Granted, I’m still learning about video filming and editing, and I’m definitely still learning to shoot video with a drone, but I’m pretty excited about how this little video turned out.

    Moving Pictures: The Maldives

When Chris and I visited The Maldives last year, I didn’t intend to put together a little video of our trip and therefore I didn’t film much, and I certainly didn’t put a lot of effort into the clips I did take. But this past weekend I was reminiscing about the trip and looking through photos, and I realized I had a few decent shots that I could string together in a very short montage. So without further ado, here it is!

    Moving Pictures: Peru

If a picture is worth a thousand words a video must be worth millions, so here is a three-and-a-half minute collection of clips I shot of our time in the Sacred Valley of Peru!

I had fun trying out a new handheld gimbal for my GoPro. It was fairly easy to get the hang of it and the gimbal helped me keep my footage steady and way smoother than without it, especially while walking. It even did a great job of steadying the footage while on a very bumpy bus ride up to Machu Picchu. I’m still learning some of the features, and if you make it to the end of the video you’ll see what I mean. 😉 In all fairness, I only skimmed the user manual shortly before our trip and I should know better!

    Moving Pictures: Isla Mujeres

Now for the other reason I didn’t take as many photos of whale sharks as I’d have liked to (besides the fact that they were super difficult to photograph) – I was also taking video! And videoing these guys was maybe even more fun than taking photos. Nothing compares to actually being there, but I love watching the clips of our trip and remembering those magical moments in the water.

(Side note: I know whale sharks are sharks and not whales. I just like this song!)
