  • Love

I am kind of behind on a few things that I had wanted to blog about in the last several weeks, so I’ll probably post random photos here and there. This is one of them. It’s a scrapbook page I made and framed for my dear friends Jenn and Stephen from their engagement portrait session:

I busted out the sewing machine and stitched along the edges of some of the paper – it’s the only thing I know how to do with my sewing machine!

  • Dress Shopping

I had a kind of a busy weekend, and it started with wedding dress shopping on Friday with Jenn, her mom, and one of her Matrons of Honor, Rosa. The shop was overwhelmingly packed with tons and tons of gowns! But among so many dresses, she did find an incredibly gorgeous gown and I’m really excited for her.

I wanted to post more about it, but I just realized that if there’s the tiniest chance Stephen might accidentally see this post, I shouldn’t put a picture of her dress on here! So you’ll just have to look for photos later this year.

Next weekend is when I leave for the Flourish workshop, so I’m really excited even though I have a million things to do before then to get ready. Oh and I found out who my roommate is! I’ve been talking to her a bit via email and photography forum, and she is going to be so much fun. Of course I’ll give you the full report when I get back. I’m actually planning to debut my new blog with that post, so stay tuned!

  • Michelle & Shawn

I had such a fun portrait session with Michelle and Shawn on Saturday – I got to shoot* in one of the U.S. Senate buildings! Shawn works for Senator John Warner, so I even got to shoot in our Senator’s office. The interior of the Russell building was absolutely gorgeous, and I’m so glad they chose that location.

*Note to the feds: “Shoot” in this case refers to images captured with a camera, so please don’t flag me as a suspicious individual or anything.

  • Jenn & Stephen

Another fun photo shoot yesterday! Jenn and Stephen are just too sweet together. And so funny! They made me laugh the whole time, and they were such great sports about posing for me around various spots in Meadowlark Gardens. And YAY – I’m going to be in Jenn’s wedding next year in Hawaii!

    Here are my favorites:

Congratulations and best wishes to you, Stephen and Jenn! I know you’re going to have a lifelong happy life together and I’m so glad to know both of you.
