  • Not Quite a Billboard, But It’s a Start

I just submitted copy for an ad in the Ashburn monthly newsletter (sort of a magazine-style monthly publication). It’s my first official ad and even though it’s just a tiny little classified, I’m pretty excited! I’m hoping that my name will mostly keep getting around by word-of-mouth, but a little word-of-newsletter can’t hurt to stir things up close to home.

Olivia, who I had the pleasure of photographing in December, says yay:

  • Happy New Year! (& Anika)

Happy 2008 everyone! The year ahead is just full of excitement, I can feel it!

I’m ringing in the new year by doing a few new things. One of my resolutions is to cook more, so last night I made fish, which I never do because I just don’t like fish at all. I made a baked tilapia though with just a few spices, and it was totally edible! I won’t seek it out on an everyday basis (maybe just once a month or so?), but it’s nice to know that I can prepare good-for-you fish in a way that is palatable. I’m also going to prepare things on the weekend that Chris and I can heat up and eat for dinner in the evenings (healthy casseroles, slow cooker meals, etc.). We have been eating out way too much, so hopefully having things on hand ready to go each weeknight will make it more convenient.

On another note, I think my blog is going to have a new look and feel very soon. So stay tuned for that.

That’s all for now! I’ll leave you with some photos I took of Anika last week:

  • Olivia

Okay, as promised here are just a few photos of Olivia from Saturday. Oh how I just love her sweet little face!

  • Kaitlyn & Max

I had such a fun photo shoot today! Kaitlyn (4) and Max (6), both absolutely gorgeous, angelic and energetic to say the least, kept me on my toes and we had a crazy time. Here are just a few of my favorites:

Kaitlyn is seriously a natural in front of the camera.

And Max has the best expressions…tons of them.

They get along well and are just too cute together.

And tomorrow I have a shoot with Jenn and Stephen. I love a 100% photography-filled weekend!
