  • 101 in 1001

I’ve been wanting to start one of these 101 in 1001 lists for quite a while, and I finally got going on it today. I’m half-way done, and I plan to start accomplishing my goals from the list on April 4, 2008. Why April 4th? Because 1001 days from April 4th, 2008 is December 31, 2010 and I thought that sounded like the perfect finale date.

You can see the first half of my list here, and I promise to have the rest of it completed in a week. I’ll be blogging and photographing each item on the list so you can keep me accountable. If you want to start with me and finish up on that date in 2010, you still have plenty of time to create your list! From the Day Zero website:

Creating your own 1001 Day Project

    The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

    The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (i.e., no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e., represent some amount of work on my part).

    Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

So let’s go and get some goals accomplished!

  • Another “What Is It?”

Can you guess what this is?

Highlight here for the answer: it’s the spectrum of light that lands on my hallway wall in the late afternoon. It’s light coming from the peephole on the door!

  • List 2 – Image 5

One more Project 10 image from this weekend:

  • Two More Green Somethings

Chris bought these at the store yesterday, and I picked out the green ones from the bag so that I could take another Project 10 picture for this month:

(As a side note, I don’t love gummy stuff, especially not worms.) And I admit to purchasing this mostly for the purpose of fulfilling another List 2 image:

I do have some non-food green images coming up, I promise.

  • The Newest Blog

Well, it turns out that Blogger is a teeny bit more difficult (for me) to get my blog the way I want it to look, so I’ve switched over to WordPress hosted on my own domain. So this is the new blog, now and forevermore! Okay, maybe not forever, but for a while. I’m still tweaking, but I kind of dig the look and feel of this one. The coolest thing is that I was able to slurp a few posts from my old blog that are photography-related and combine them with the newest blog.

     What do you think?
